If you followed the setup on my previous article on using xmit.co with Github actions you should also be mindful of how to setup redirects. Pierre the creator of XMIT was kind enough to help me when I posted on Mastodon. He said if you want your redirects to work dont forget to copy your xmit.toml file into your _site directory. I took his advice and it works great. If you want to see how I did it check out my 11ty config file.

If yo uwish to use a custom 404 page on xmit.co along with redirects please note the 404 has to be before the redirect section. For example:

404 = "404.html"

[[redirects]]
from = "^/youtube/?$"
to = "https://www.youtube.com/@DominationChronicles"
permanent = true

[[redirects]]
from = "^/podcast/?$"
to = "https://redcircle.com/shows/dominationchronicles"
permanent = true
